Blueberry bushes are easy to grow and produce fruits that bring a healthy addition to your diet. They can be planted directly in the ground, grown as shrubs to landscape your yard, or even grown in decorative pots to add a pop of color to your patio.

Jelly Bean:  Large, sweet, flavorful blueberries in mid-summer. Self-pollinating, but planting with other varieties will yield more fruit. Foliage has distinctive elongated, green leaves with highlights of red in cooler climates.

Jewel Southern:  Southern highbush blueberry (low chill hours, heat tolerant). One of California’s leading commercial varieties due to its high adaptability. Exceptional growth and high yields. Self-pollinating, but planting with other varieties will yield more fruit.

Jubilee Southern:  Southern highbush variety (low chill hours, heat tolerant). Blue green foliage. Upright and quite compact bush, with fruit borne on the outer periphery. Increase berry production with groupings of other mid-season varieties for cross-pollination.

Legacy Northern:  Legacy is a northern highbush variety. A vigorous and productive grower. Legacy has been rated as producing the highest flavor fruit overall from the USDA selections. Vigorous grower producing medium to large size berries. Self-pollinating, but planting with other varieties will yield more fruit. Green leaves turning orange in the fall.

Misty Southern:  Southern highbush variety (low chill hours, heat tolerant). In the west, Misty is quite vigorous, growing very well on the coast and in the inland heat. Sky blue berries with blue green foliage. Evergreen in milder climate; red foliage in fall in cooler areas.

O'Neal Southern:  Southern highbush variety (low chill hours, heat tolerant). Often considered to have the best flavor of the Southern Highbush varieties, with large dark blue fruit that matures very early and for an extensive season. Attractive gray-green foliage remains evergreen in mild winters; turns brilliant red before falling in colder climates. Self-pollinating, but planting with other varieties will yield more fruit.

Peach Sorbet:  Peach Sorbet® is a compact blueberry with stunning peach, pink, orange and emerald green leaves. In most climates, this plant will keep its leaves throughout winter and turn a rich eggplant purple.

Pink Icing:  Pink Icing™ has beautiful foliage colors and large, robust flavored berries. Spring foliage has many shades of pink mixed with blue and deep greens, and turns a showy iridescent turquoise blue in winter.

Pink Lemonade:  Pink Lemonade offers something unique in edible fruits. White translucent berries mature to a luscious bright pink and taste wonderfully sweet/tart with a firm, clear texture. ‘Pink Lemonade’ will produce farther south than many traditional blueberry cultivars. Berry color and flavor will attract both gourmet cooks and those seeking a culinary novelty. However, it is the beauty of the plant that will earn respect of gardeners everywhere. Self-pollinating, but planting with other varieties will yield more fruit.  Green foliage, turning a golden yellow to orange in the Fall.

Sharpblue Southern:  Southern highbush variety (low chill hours, heat tolerant). Nearly evergreen in mild climates, this attractive, upright shrub produces early in the season, often continuing to bloom and set excellent dark blue, medium-sized fruit. Bears fruit nearly year-round.  Green foliage remaining nearly evergreen.

Southmoon:  Southern highbush variety (low chill hours, heat tolerant). Florida native with vigorous, upright character. Performs well in California, both inland and coastal. Prefers light sandy soils. A highly productive, early-fruiting blueberry. Self-pollinating, but planting with other varieties will yield more fruit.  Olive green foliage, semi-evergreen in milder climates.

Sunshine Blue Southern:  Southern highbush. Great flavored firm berries. Ripens May 10 through June 15 at Gainesville, Florida. Semi-dwarf evergreen bush with great fall color. Showy hot pink flowers fade to white in spring. Self-fruitful. 150 chill hours, but very cold hardy as well.
