Figs are delicious, healthful and easy-to-cultivate. The versatile, sweet fruit is an amazing source of fiber and is super easy to grow and eventually harvest. The silhouette of a fig tree adds a beautiful, sculptural element to any landscape.

Black Mission: Attractive, self fruiting, deciduous garden tree. Provides shade in summer and attractive silhouette in winter. Beautiful large lobed, palm shaped leaves are useful in cooking.

Brown Turkey: A large, semi-dwarf, self fruiting, deciduous tree. Deep purple fruit when ripe. Prune to shape. Beautiful, deeply lobed leaves are useful in cooking.

Janice Seedless Kadota: Moderate sized, self fruiting, deciduous tree. Attractive tree with lovely branching for attractive winter character. Highly adapted to coastal and inland climates.

Sun Needs: Produces best fruit in full sun (minimum of six hours).

Soil/Water Needs: Plant in organically rich, moist, well-drained soil.

Planting Needs: Figs need good air circulation. Can be enjoyed in large tubs indefinitely if re-potted or root-pruned occasionally. Avoid highly windy areas.
